The Adventure of Deep Sea Fishing in Florida
than the one that the old fashioned and traditional fisherman are used to, this is more of a science then the calm and solitude sport of fishing.
With proper accommodations and an excellent sport fishing guide, a visit to Florida could definitely be considered as an adventure itself as people engage into the thrills and excitements of interacting with live fishes and using equipment for catching all sorts of fish while riding on a boat.
The following provides basic ideas on various sports fishing in selected areas in Florida
Deep Sea or Offshore Fishing
This type of sports fishing maximizes the speed of motorboats to travel several miles out to sea and reach out even to deeper water. This area allows enthusiasts to angle for favorite sports fish like the sailfish, dolphin, wahoo, marlin, and tuna, using necessary gadgets and equipment.
This sports fishing has put Florida into a hotspot for some fishing actions. In fact, written below are among the top deep sea fishing fleets being sought for by most tourists.
Catch ‘Em All Sports fishing Charter
This sports fishing fleet is concentrated in the middle of Florida keys. They offer quality fishing adventures in the rich fishing grounds near the waters of Islamorada and Marathon, Florida. They also promotes a “No Fish – No Pay” policy to ensure that enthusiasts will have a great time fishing.
Reef and Wreck Fishing
The sunken ships and submerged reef cover can sustain big amounts of baitfish. This scenario attracts various species of aggressive and large sports fishes like goliath groupers, mutton, snapper, permit, barracuda, sailfish, kingfish and many other species.
Bay Fishing
This sports fishing is angled for fast-runner type of fishes such as jewfish, cobia, permit, mackerel, speckled trout, mangrove snapper, and even barracuda that usually swim through the local bays of Florida.
Once you will be out in the fresh sea air, the waves hitting the sides of the boat and you start to feel the excitement of a new fishing trip you will understand that deep sea fishing is certainly something that can provide both a challenging and fun vacation as well as a relaxing, away from it all, kind of trip that many look for.

Florida Fishing-the Treasure Coast
The treasure Coast is on the the east coast of Florida.Roughly south to Stuart and North to Vero Beach. The intercoastal waterway,Wich includes all of the Indian River Lagoon, runs north from Stuart Florida, approximately 150 miles.Hutchison Island is the barrier island that separates The ocean from the intercoastal waterway. The Fort Pierce Inlet divides the Island into north and south.
Some of the best fishing sites in Florida are on the treasure coast. The reason is that there are so many types of Fishing you can enjoy here. Because of the barrier islands,it”s unique ecosystem makes the Indian River Lagoon the most ecological diverse waterway in all of North America. No where else can you find more spcies of fish, crustations, mammals, and plant life than on Floridas Treasure Coast.
Enjoy the following types of fishing at any given time.
1.Offshore-Stuart is the Sailfish capitol of the world. If you like big game fish this is the place. also dolphin, king fish, wahoo, and barracuda, the list goes on and on for great offshore sport fishing.
2.Inshore fishing-The Indian River Lagoon-Known for it”s wide variety of fish. You will want to target just one or two, depending on the time of day and season.I can”t list them all but here”s a few. Snook, mangrove snapper, jacks, sea trout, sea bass, flounder, pompano, sheepshead, redfish, that should be enough to make you hungry!
3.Bottom Fishing-party boats offer a great value for reef fishing. The six and 8 mile reefs off the treasure coast are the most visited.grouper, snapper, sea bass and a variety of others make for a great meal from these bottom feeders.
4. Surf Fishing-Miles of uncrowded beaches make for fishermans paradise.Fish the first drop off only a few feet from the beach to catch whiting and the like or,go large and rig up for some shark fishing or,anything in between. Anything goes at the beaches.
5.Fresh Water Fishing-Fresh water is everywhere on the treasure coast. Pull of the side of the road and fish a small canal our lake or pond.large and smallmouth bass are exceptional here.Drive 30 miles west to lake okeechobee and you will find some of the best freshwater fishing in the country.
6.Spear Fishing-want even more excitement? Then gear up for a spear fishing charter from one of the three inlets along the treasure coast.(St. Lucie,Fort Pierce, and Sebastion)You must be certified to scuba dive of course.
This list doesn”t even come close to all the choices for florida fishing on the Treasure coast. This area is still a great place to plan a fishing trip. Why do I recommend The treasure coast? Pensacola In Florida – Best Location For Deep Sea Fishing
Deep sea fishing specialist find Pensacola, Florida the key place to go angling for a assortment of deep sea types of fish. The holiday maker can find much to do in northwest Florida coast which gives a large amount of activity for a holiday maker who wants to spend a day or so deep sea fishing. The ideal place to go for such an outing is Pensacola as there are many companies that offer charters to go fishing here.
Fishing expeditions conducted by various charter companies
There are every day expeditions conducted by The Beach Marina Fishing Fleet, which possesses more than ten crafts in its flotilla , and gives a wide choice to people who are interested in going deep sea fishing. The Pensacola services which are leased out to voyagers, take the holiday makers out on trips ranging from half a day to one day for fishing are tours where you could target prized fish like cobia, snapper, mackerel and amberjack. All the necessary gear will be provided by Beach Marina Fishing Fleet as is the normal procedure with all charter companies.
Tourists could also employ the services of Bandit Charters, who also offer an impressive expedition for tourists interested in deep sea angling. Pensacola is the starting point for this excursion and you will be taken on a long walk varying from 6 to eight hours on fishing “walk around” for a fairly fancy price. The boats that are hired out by this facility have been cleared by the Coast Guard, and can accommodate up to eighteen passengers. There is an interesting array of fish that you will find on this tour, with some species of shark and barracuda also.
Hog Wild Offshore Charters which is a charter service for Pensacola would take you for a wonderful deep sea fishing expedition for a trip ranging from 2 hours to as much as 36 hours. Whatever you r choice of trip is you will find yourself being in very comfortable surroundings with cabins that are air conditioned and also complete living facilities.
Scuba Shack that is more focused on diving also provides trips for deep sea fishing to Pensacola guests. The bonus of this jaunt is that the complete outing will be on video recording, so that, even if people were not around, you will have some kind of evidence to show the heroic deeds that you accomplished on your fishing expedition. Another attractive plus point is that fishing licenses are included in the cost of the tour.
Evidently you can enjoy yourself and have a wonderful time at sea by getting away from the land and getting acquainted with new people who are also sharing your boat with you on this expedition. If you arrange a holiday in the northwest Florida region you could also include deep sea fishing for a day in your plans. With the array of options that Pensacola has to offer you, you will be able to choose one that gives you the most fulfilling experience and also provides you with all the excitement that you have been looking forward to.

Florida Deep Sea Fishing Overview

Florida Deep Sea Fishing Overview
With warm weather and hundreds of miles of coastline, Florida deep sea fishing attracts millions of visitors to the state every year. The state of Florida is located in the southeastern region of United States. The Gulf of Mexico runs along its western coastline and the Atlantic Ocean on the east, making it a large peninsula.
You can find fish in the back-country creeks and along the beaches that can be caught with a lightweight rod and reel. But its the deep sea that offers the real challenge and variety for anglers to catch fish as a sport or otherwise.
If you are considering to go deep sea fishing in Florida, south Florida offers the best place to fish. If you don’t have your own boat, charter boats can be hired for about 0 to 0 to cover half a day of fishing which can carry around six people.
A few tips to keep in mind.
For Florida deep sea fishing you might want to consider carrying sunscreen, sunglasses or a hat. If you are prone to seasickness, do take care and have the necessary medication on board. You can bring along your own food or have it arranged in advance on the boat. Wear soft shoes so that you don’t slip and fall overboard. Tug along a good camera to catch the wildlife at sea.
Why hire a boat for deep sea fishing?
One advantage of hiring a charter boat in addition to expert guidance is that, the handling of bait, tackle and equipment is taken care of, for you. Even fish cleaning is done on your behalf. If its your first time, you can hire or request the first mate on the boat to teach you how to bait and use the tackle. The captain of the hired boat knows where the fish can be found, which makes the trip all the more worthwhile.
What kind of fishes does Florida deep sea fishing offer?
Most of the fishes aren’t endangered. Though Florida has many variety of fish species, the common ones you can find are Sailfish, Cobia, Tuna, Wahoo, Flounder, Pompano, Snook, Tiggerfish, Amberjack, Marlin, Swordfish, Tarpon, Mahi-Mahi, among snapper and grouper.
You can keep the fish that you catch for cooking. The ones that can’t be eaten are released after taking a picture of them, if you don’t want to kill it for a trophy or a souvenir.
To go deep sea fishing in Florida, you can hire boats at Boca Raton, Captiva Island, Cocoa Beach, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Marco Island, Miami Beach, Naples, Palm Beach, Panama City Beach, Sarasota, Stuart, Tampa Bay.
Florida deep sea fishing is for everyone to enjoy and get a hang of sport fishing, whether you are a kid or an adult.

We took the kids on the Blue Heron Fleet Drift Boat Deep Sea Fishing outing and everyone got to catch a Fish. We caught mostly Bonita fish which are no good to eat but great fun to catch! Most of them never made it into the boat because we were surrounded by Lemon Sharks that would eat them just before you could bring them into the boat.

Tampa
Tampa Florida is a busy metro area similar to other cities across the nation. What makes it special is it’s semi-tropical seaside location and the culture, which are considered by many as one and the same. Ybor City located in Tampa’s Latin Quarter, has become the new “South Beach”. Complete with clubs, restaurants and eclectic shops, the region has a strong Cuban flavor complete with merchants selling hand rolled cigars.
Tampa is also home to Busch Gardens, one of the most popular attractions in Florida and for good reason, Beer. But beer is not the only reason to visit Busch Gardens, there are roller coasters like the SheiKra and Gwazi. Busch Gardens is also home to Animal Attractions.
Orlando
Orlando Florida is one of the most popular family vacation destinations in the nation, and for good reason, theme parks. Disney, Universal and Seaworld are the most famous. But there are other attractions close by such as Gatorland, Wet N’ Wild and nearby Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex.
Hotels and Resorts around Central Florida cater to visiting families and International Drive offers a shopping experience you won’t find anyplace else. Restaurants and dinner shows are also popular with the visiting families for any budget.
Miami
Miami is located at the south eastern and that’s what gives it the unique beaches and water quality. Even though the region is a major population area and shipping port, the clear Gulf Stream waters flush Biscayne Bay and the nearby shoreline. The close proximity of the Gulf Stream also makes offshore fishing some of the best anywhere. Fishing for marlin, mahi mahi, wahoo and king mackerel are available year round.
Miami is also home to a large Cuban population giving the area a Latin flavor that impacts the fashion, food and nightclub atmosphere. There are also professional sports teams like the Miami Dolphin.
Florida Keys
The Florida Keys are truly a Caribbean paradise that stretches from Key Largo to Key West. Key Largo is well known divers and snorkelers with clear water it’s the easiest Key to get to. Islamorada is the Gamefish Capital of Florida with both offshore fishing and inshore fishing for bonefish and tarpon. Bahia Honda Key is one of the most natural of the Florida Keys and popular with campers and snorkelers. And Key West is party central with Duval Street and the Annual FantasyFest.
